Wow, last night I had my first dream of my grandfather since he died in July 2008. That I could remember, anyway...
What is coincidence?
When I woke up this morning I did my usual, read the news, check emails and online banking etc. Then something told me to read a blog that I was following, Bleeding Internally Since 1971 which by the way is freakin' awesome but I'll let you be the judge of that. (Happy Birthday Mr. Corey Taylor!)It had been awhile since I've read his posts so I go on and I start to read "Reflection". He starts talking about his grandmother, how he misses her and what have you. This got me thinking where I just realized 'Eureka! I dreamt about Grandpa.' Coincidence you say?! Probably, there is a chance. All I know is that after so, so long of wanting to see my grandfather in the afterlife, it finally came!
I was outside sitting on a ledge in front of some random house. To my left I see he's walking on the sidewalk to go inside a car, when he sees me he pauses and decides to close the car door. He starts walking toward me while talking to me and asking a few questions. I just start balling, tears running down my face onto my clothes. I'm happy to see him of course but also having that feeling of not wanting him to leave and disappear for good if I were to move. He comes a bit closer and I hug him, not saying anything to him. When he lets go he walks away backwards and disappears into the scenery. He looked much younger, skin more vibrant and taller, walked with ease, his hair was richer in color like a jet black..despite it being gray for most of his life. Oh, how can I forget his hat? He wore his favorite pale blue hat and was happy in spirit & happy to see me!
I have NO idea why I dreamt this or what this dream means however like I've said I sure am overjoyed that I got to "see" him after so long.
